Tribute to the Mothers. Happy Mother's Day.

      Mother's Day is celebrated all over the world to honor our Mothers.  Mother's day is the occasion to pay tributes to the person who have great influence in our lives, and those who loves and care of no boundaries and her only main purpose is to make us happy. 

 

    In 1912, Anna Jarvis trademarked the phrases "second Sunday in May" and "Mother's Day", and created the Mother's Day International Association.  This is to honor mothers and their motherhood. The mother's day is one of the special occasion in our life.  Today, for  all the great mother I want to share this letter of father Ariel.   To all Nanay, Inay, Mommy, Mama, Ma, Ina, Inang, Momsy, Ima, thank you for being so wonderful, this letter is a reminder for me, for us of who you are and who we are.   While reading this letter my tears keeps falling. Sa aming pagtanda, unawain at pagpasensyahan mo sana kami, anak. . .

Kung makatapon kami ng sabaw sa hapag kainan
O kaya makabasag ng pinggan
'Wag mo naman sana kaming kagagalitan
Dala lang yun ng kalabuan ng mata at ng namamanhid naming mga daliri. . .
Pinagalitan ka man sa mga baso't pinggang iyong nabasag noon bata ka pa,
Iyon ay dahil ayaw naming masugatan ka.

Kung ang mga sinasabi mo'y 'di maintindihan at madinig
'Wag mo naman sana kaming sabihan ng "Bingi!"
Humihina na talaga ang aming pandinig
Pakiulit lang nang malakas-lakas na 'di naman kailangang sigawan
Upang tayo ay magkaunawaan.

Kung mabagal na kaming maglakad at 'di na makasabay sa mabilis mong paglakad

Ten Great Ways Kids Earn Money This Summer

 

Summer here come again, its vacation time for kids.  The kids are looking forward to do some activities that they can earn money.   This makes them happy as well as their parents.  The kids will have some money to spend in things that they want.  For the unprivilege  children this would be an opportunity for them to have some allowance come school days.   Children earning their own money, it teaches them an important lesson, which is the value of money.  It also teaches them skills of working, which they can use for the rest of their lives.  It’s an all around great situation when children start earning their own money from the early age.  The following are some children activities, how they would earn an extra income.

1.     Cooking or Baking Cakes or Pastries. Kids can start learning to do some simple baking from a very young age. They can hold bake sales in their families and friends and the neighborhood.  Truly entrepreneurial kids may even set up a baking business through which neighbors and family members and friends can place special orders.

2.     Blogging.  Kids these days are really good with computers and that’s a great place to start earning a little bit of money. They can start a blog and promote it through the Facebook account. They can earn a small amount of money for advertising. Kids may need to work with a parent to set up a legal account for accepting ad money.

3.     Halo Halo or Ice Scramble for Sale.  Kids can put up a table in their garage or infront of their house for selling the halo halo and ice scramble.   Since we are in a tropical country it’s a hot summer, there’s a high demand for something cold and icy drinks, to cool down the summer heat.

4.     Chocolate and Candy Sales. Kids who want to make their money off of other kids should look into doing candy sales in the neighborhood. Chocolate and candy can be purchased in bulk and then sold individually to local children. They can also be sold to adults who have a sweet tooth

5.     Car Washing. When washing cars, children will spend time outside, get some exercise and get wet. Car washes also offer the opportunity for a group of friends to work together. Kids can listen to music, sing, talk and dance while they work.

6.    Errands. There are a lot of little errands that kids are capable of doing to earn some money. Returning items that one neighbor has borrowed from another, running to the corner store to buy a few things.   Children who prefer to stay indoors may find that they can make a good business out of doing housecleaning for others. There are tons of different indoor tasks that kids can get paid to do including laundry, window washing, vacuuming and so on.

7.    Garage Sales.   A garage sale is a great way for kids to earn some quick cash. They can sell the items that they don’t want anymore to get money for what they do want to buy. Business-minded kids can offer to run garage sales for neighbors and family members and they can keep a percentage of the earnings.

8.    Garden Work.   Children can offer their gardening, weeding, raking and mowing skills to friends and neighbors. They will get fresh air, learn how to care for plants and may acquire regular customers. For an added fee, kids can take out and bring in the neighbors' garbage and recycling.

9.    Art and Jewelry/Accessory Sale.  Children will be able to let their imaginations run wild as they create canvas paintings, sing a song, do some play and make beaded bracelets, necklace, ring etc. They can advertise to neighbors and family friends, and sell their talent, artwork and jewelry in a garage-style sale.

10. Flyer Delivery Service or Service Crew in the Restaurants. Kids may be able to work with local businesses to earn some money doing basic advertising or services. Businesses pay kids to hand-deliver flyers and services to local residents. This is generally best for groups of kids working together.

Keeping kids busy during the summer is a fulfilling activity.     It encourage kids to get moving, be proactive and take on some responsibility. We can suggest fun activities they can do to earn some extra money. Have kids set goals about how much money they would like to earn, and brainstorm about what can be done with the money at the end of the summer.

7.  Be reminded that this is sale so many people are accessing the airline website, you must be fast in accessing their website, so you can book the fare you want ahead of everybody.
